God this weekend has sucked. I've been bored, I've been angry, crazy, depressed, frustrated. I can't play guitar because it's strings broke and I can't get another set right now since I've reached a new level of broke. Mostly I've sat around and done nothing and feeling sorry for myself. thanks for listening to me complain.

The other day someone called my friend a pseudo-intellectual and it got me thinking. Really, what is the difference between an intellectual and someone pretending to be one? Nothing. An intellectual is someone who thinks a lot and comes out with well thought out opinions. A pseudo-intellectual is someone who thinks a lot and comes out with well thought out opinions that you think are bull shit. I don't think that you should degrade someone you don't agree with so much as to call them a phony. And that maybe instead of calling them intellectuals and pseudo-intellectuals, we should call them intellectuals and intellectuals who can go shove it.

I need the new stylus for my turntable to arrive today. I have faced the last week virtually without music. My turntable has been acting up for quite a wile, enough to damage a record irreparably. So I broke the needle and because I have an obscure, old, crappy player I had to order away for the new needles. Meanwhile my dog chewed through my head phones and, even after borowing another pair, I left my cd player at a friends house. I'm going out of my mind. I never realized how much I needed music to stay sane before
